Cylinder and Crankshaft Inspection

The cylinderinspector is a system for quantative image analysis of engine blocks bore surfaces. Using oblique viewing optic, digital images can be taken from the inside of the cylinder bore.

This newly developed cylinderinspector permits a destruction free examination of the engine block directly in the manufacturing area. To do this, a stand is installed right over the cylinder crankcase. The tri-axial motor control unit of the system moves an angle objective into the cylinder bore, focuses it and allows a 360 degrees rotation. On any predefined position, digital images of the borer surface can be taken.
