Qioptiq's NIR Zoom 70XL is specifically designed for the near-infrared wavelengths used in emission microscopy and the telecommunications industry. The NIR Zoom 70XL can be used for various applications such as the alignment of fibers, inspecting laser diodes, and backside viewing of thin sections of silicon. All Optical components are specifically designed for 630 to 2000nm. This extremely broad spectral band is capable of satisfying most customers' applications. The NIR Zoom 70XL is parfocal throughout its entire zoom range, and it is chromatically corrected for its designed spectral band. A revolutionary new anti-reflection coating is on every lens to improve contrast and increase transmission. The majority of the product line is modular with a wide variety of combinations available. A second series is non-modular and is specified when both motorized zoom and focus is desired. As with most Qioptiq zoom systems, the final working system must contain an upper and lower module (except in the case of the non-modular version), and a TV Tube to support the camera and to focus the image at the camera sensor. Optional lower Auxiliary lenses for varying WD and field coverage increase flexibility as do a number of illumination choices. Zoom drive options are manual, detented for calibrated repeatability, DC motorized, and Stepper motorized with homing sensors and RS232 capability. |

Auxiliary Lenses
There are four standard Auxiliary lenses: 0.5X, 0.75X, 1.5X, and 2.0X. |

Right-Angle Adapter A Right-Angle Adapter can be used to redirect your image by 90º below the zoom. There are two reducing Auxiliary Lenses, which can be exclusively used with the Right-Angle Adapter (49-90-59). |

Auxiliary Lenses Mounting Options In lower modules with focus capabilities, the lenses behave differently depending on how they are mounted. All Optical Specification Charts show the maximum working distances, which occur when the lower lens and auxiliary lens are in their closest proximity. As the separation increases, the working distance decreases and the magnification increases or decreases depending on whether the lens is minifying or magnifying. Sometimes the standard working distance and magnifications do not meet the application's requirement. Auxiliary lenses may be attached to the bottom of the zoom system to modify these parameters. In keeping with the laws of physics, as you increase the working distance, the magnification decreases.
